Does anyone know why the average fuel consumption figures change on the dash after tuning has been done ,they seem to go higher and never change ,can it be reverted back or is this something that happens after the ecu has been played with ,even when stock tune has reflashed to the car

if you flashed a file and the mpg display does not move then it is likely a flash error. best to contact support.
if you flashed it try resetting the mpg counter to see if it responds to a reset. if not contact support.

in everything i have flashed the counter still functions but it reports back different values since the airflow values have been calibrated to the desired engine requirement and thus a new fuel consumption value is displayed accordingly. gm counters tend to be accurate to around 1 mpg on a tank average for me. my display currently reads 15.5 but im getting 14.3 per the fuel receipt when using the same pump and not going past the pump shutoff point to keep testing the same.
