I've set the speed limiter to 120. After exceeding 98 the truck shakes as if the traction control is kicking off and on. What all do you have to set on these trucks to change the speed limiter?

turn the limiter back to stock, or you will lose a drive shaft. That is why it is there. Been there, done that.

I'm aware of the problems with stock shafts.
the shaking at 101 mph is your drive shaft flexing severely in the middle.
Or keep going over 98 mph. Your truck, you're adventure.
Have fun!

Its a two piece steel shaft and its not my truck so he can do what he wants with it. Its not driveline vibration. It feels like it bogs then resumes then bogs again. Ill log it when he's back in town and post it up.
set the "limit" to 8k rpms. move it to "calibration".

I set it to calibration but left the RPM limit at 700. Does setting it to 8000 prevent the limiter from working at all? It says limiter disabled below this rpm.
correct, it nukes any limiter below the set rpm, not above it.

Ok thanks for the help
My current tuner having this issue as we speak. ugh.
There are other modules giving their input.... When you switch it to "calibration" as it Area47 said in #6 it gives the PCM control of the limits.... then you set them the way you want.... carefully.
