I have put a 2010 5.3 and 4l60(e38 and t42) in a 85 truck that had a 700. so i used the same transfer case which has a cable speedo. On the earlier pcms I could change the vss count from 40 to 8 and run a inline cable vss pickup. Can this be done with the later units? The sensor input is rev per mile but if I remember correctly I think I tried to change this on another project with no luck. Am I missing something? I have modified a 4l60 4 bolt 4x4 extension housing for pick up and machine 40 tooth reluctor for shaft. But that was years ago on a TB setup that I didn't have a way to adjust parameter like the later obd2 apps.
