I already have another waiting to go in...just wondering if this is a wideband or a controller issue?

did you use the hpt provided pid or a custom one? also..that looks familiar..Originally Posted by MeentSS02
Custom one, but the LC-1 and HPT agree on what's what, and it was programmed for the small voltage offset I have.
damaged sensor?
Looks like it might be a grounding issue...I'll do some messing around.
wasnt the issue with mine so.. good luckOriginally Posted by MeentSS02
I'll see what happens...looks like I should be grounding the heater through the EIO as well when I'm logging, which I'm not currently doing. The output is being pulled down at random intervals, but doesn't read erratically any time else. Klattin over on Innovate's board suggested a grounding issue, so I'll go with that and go from there...
If all else fails, I have a brand new sensor sitting on my table waiting to go in.
DO NOT ground the LC-1 through the EIO. It cannot handle the current. You can ground everything BUT the heater through the EIO. If your LC-1 fails, there is a newer version that has ground fault protect built-in. Innovative will give you an RMA and replace yours if it failed.

Hmmmmmmmmm...you say to not ground the heater through the EIO, but Innovate says to do this along with Mr. soundengineer. Which one is it?
BTW, I tried grounding the heater along with the other grounds through the EIO (the heater is in either pin 5 or 6, the others go through the other one), and it helped some, but it is still doing it.
Any other thoughts?
DO NOT GROUND HEATER TO EIO!!!!
heater to chassis or cig lighter plug(which is what I do)
looks like a grounding issue

Sunuvabitch...I'll make sure that gets fixed ASAP. I only ran it like that for 45 seconds, so I think I'll be fine.
I seriously don't know how else I could do my grounds to make this problem go away. Geez this is annoying.
I use the Cigarette lighter for heater power(red wire) and hreater ground (blue wire)Originally Posted by MeentSS02
then run your other grounds(white, green, calibration button,LED wire) to the EIO ground
nuff said....
if you stil have isues then talk to innovate about an RMA and get a new one...
or come to KC and I'll show you how to make it work..LOL
or try to catch m eout on tour in some city close to you..LOL

That's my plan for now...I'm actually gonna ground everything but the heater wire to the OBDII ground (since I run this wideband full time), and the heater is just gonna go to a chassis ground somewhere (maybe even the cig. lighter). For some reason, I think grounding to the passenger side head just isn't working...
thh engine is metal..but its aluminum..and aluminum isnt the greatest conductor...its good..but not as good as it should be...
try going to the chassis or even straight to the battey negative terminal...

Hmmmmmmmm...battery negative terminal you say...that could actually be done fairly easily...
I still vote for the bolt that holds down the seat myself....
I use that to ground my power inverter so I can charge the laptop in the car

Steve, don't worry about it and use a filter. My AEM does that when I log less then 7 PIDs. Once I log more then that, the resolution will "filter" it out. I verified this by logging the raw voltage and sometimes would get 0V (10.00 AFR), so I made the filter and my tunes come out great.
Actually, that's exactly what I did...but now I did all that rewiring That makes Nana sad
Thanks for sharing the experience though...
Those spikes look like dropped frames.
.12 takes care of this.
We got this guy Not Sure, ...
Really? Any chance of getting that Beta to see if that works?
