2017 Camaro SS - MAP reading at idle

Can anyone connect to a 2016, 2017 or 2018 Camaro SS and tell me what their MAP reading is at idle. Trying to rule out a bad MAP on my car. Mine was showing 42kpa, so on some advise I pulled the intake off and checked the seals, all were good. I put the intake back down and torqued it to spec. I am now getting 34kpa at idle, but the code is still showing up in the ECM log.

    Thanks in advance... Todd

You should have approximately 100 kpa at key on engine off at sea level. Does it just stay stuck at 34 or does it move around? What mods? I've seen map sensor extension harnesses get plugged in upside down from Whipple and cause something like this.

It moves around, I am getting around 32-35 kpa at idle with 1.34 to 1.37 volts at idle on the MAP sensor. I keep getting a P129D code showing up that is tripping my check engine light.

He's asking what it reads at Key On, Engine Off rather than at idle.

I will check here in a bit. Never checked or logged them at key on engine off.

Did you clear the code in HP Scanner afterwards? Or did you disconnect the negative battery cable? I know some sensors will throw codes if they are disconnected when there is power to the system. Just trying to clarify if this code is re-occurring even after cleared.

Did you change and MAP based Airflow tables?

98kpa at key on engine off.

I have tried to clear the codes with the HPT scanner, no lucky. I even just tried to pull the battery for over 15 minutes. Then as as soon as the car was back on I scanned for codes and the P129d showed as "pending, permanent". As soon as I scanned it again the code showed up as permanent.

Going to have the dealer try and clear it with their system after work today.

That is about right for a map reading at idle with the stock cam and key on engine off. If the check engine light is not on in the dash, those codes will eventually disappear from the permanent status in the scanner after so many key cycles with no problem found. It is just the way HPT reports the DTC's now.

ok, thank helps me feel a little better at least. I am guessing that from my improper install of the intake tripped the code. The tuner thinks it may be the new tune, but several other people dont see it in their tunes.
