    Cool Enjoying REV Limiter

    I keep hitting 1st gear rev limiter in my A8 2017 Grand Sport at WOT. I increased my rev limiter to 6900 but i still hit it.
    I have a '17 with no TCM access, so its all stock shift points. It keeps over-reving in 1st gear.. If i was spinning tires, i would understand but i run drag radials with amazing traction.

    Any ideas what could cause it or fix it ???

    Two things, drag radials, if the height is different then stock, will throw off the mph, and shift points.
    Second with the added power, without the correct reported torque can affect the shift functions as well, and sometimes you have to start the shift earlier from the added power as well. You need to have the VVE and MAF tables dialed in correctly!
    You can tune the A8 in 2017, just need to send in a TCM to HP Tuners to be unlocked first.

    Crazy question ... never cross my mind while i was at track... i could technically hit UP SHIFT pedal at like 5500 and it should upshift to 2nd right ???
