Wonder why my inj tip temps read in the 300s, just after some normal driving ?

Is your IVT definition scaled correctly - that's if you did the double half trick? Having cold start issues? Usually the tale tale Jody

The IVT terms are halved and the car starts perfectly when cold. I never checked the temps before but decided to after reading this thread. No idea if its normal for them to read that high.

What do your iat's and ivt's report? Injector tip temp should be half what your getting - should start out at 100c when hot reflashing / coolant temp when cold starting...

    Wow.... just ignore me... LOL

I just went and looked at the log again, and the injector temp was max 123. Either I just was tired and saw it wrong, or maybe I looked at it with the key off or something ? No idea but I was sure I saw 300s. Anyways, all seems normal now.

Ok...........pretty sure I looked at intake valve temp by mistake........

I dont see these kind of injector tip temp swings? Hot restart a couple times 127F is all I see, drop a couple degrees maybe after running? Hood closed, 85 degrees outside

let it sit 5mins off after it's fully hot, do it 3-4 times it should keep climbing or maybe your platform is different. You can also put it in gear (auto) or don't push clutch in (manual) and try to crank it.. this will update the Inj Tip Temp. It does on mine anyway.

The problem comes in when you go to track and turn off car for few minutes in line or after you make a run and stop and shut off for a few mins. Same on the Dyno if you shut off for few mins for whatever reason. Or, running around shopping, few quick stops is all it takes.

Not as noticeable with scaled injectors or stock engines. Let it get to temp. Reflash hot, then restart and see how much fuel trims change.

So GHuggins, I should tune my MAF for the trims I want, then reflash hot and see what happens to the trims?

All of your offsets are negative in first post? Yet the plot shows positive values and higher than the table? Trying to follow this and start tuning my airflow tomorrow in the proper order.

One of those views I posted was showing the difference after the table was tuned in - which is why it showed negative values...

I tune pretty much like this - yours is a stock CTSV with some light mods - right? Put everything back to stock / Put in correct injector data / Fire - put in 100% MAF - dial in MAF and VE at the same time ( I use the cylinder math formula for VE - [2320.71]*(273.15+[50011.241])*1000*15/([50070.56]*[50030.91]) ) Then by the time your MAF is dialed in really close, your VE should be within 5%... Wait until injector tip temp is around 55 or 60 C to start logging - after MAF and VE are really close - dial in injector tip temp using Scott's formula on page 2 or trims - formula is quicker... With yours being a CTSV - leave IVT table alone... Once injector tip temp is dialed in start making the rest of the corrections to your VE and MAF using safe ignition timing granted... Then when it's within 1 to 2 % move onto spark and idle issues... I also suggest dialing in your O2's while dialing in your MAF and VE the first time around - easy to use st's 0ed area and see whether or not your lambda or air fuel errors are staying within 1% at the same time while the rpms are being held up...
