    Engine Overtemperature Degree Change?

    Hey Guys,

Was driving my 2002 Suburban up a steep mountain road and I developed a engine fan failure, and I noticed the temp warnings for engine coolant were pretty high. I think maybe 240 or more. By the time I noticed the light, it went from real hot to way too hot and I had to stop right where I was. I was looking for a way to lower the temperature of these warnings and couldn't seem to find the settings. Anyone have any ideas? Tried searching, maybe I am blind!

There isn't a table as far as I know. Being that you have a fan clutch there are no settings for the fans and the cluster itself is what will trigger the coolant too hot message. Once the cluster see's that the temp is way high it trips the message.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I have the PCM of NC E-Fan conversion on the truck, didn't occur it could be the cluster itself throwing the warning lights. I know I can change the transmission overtemperature setting but didn't see one for engine.

always wondered if this table controls more than just fueling. I know it commands the secondary pe table, as well as overtemp fuel correction. I wonder if it will trip the light as well. I guess setting it to something like 180* and see if the light comes on to test it.

    fuel>power enrichment>PE Throttle>hot select
