    Normal/pattern A/Pattern B Shift speeds

Does anyone know what the differences or definitions are for the different shift speed parameters. I am referring to Part throttle shift tabs...Normal/Pattern A/Pattern B. I would like to know what makes the computer decide which one to use. Trans is a 4L60E out of a 08 Silverado.

Having not tried this, are you able to log the shift pattern itself in the channels list to see what one it's using.

Anytime the vehicle is in drive, it's using the normal table for everything. I wonder if the shift selector was in D3 or D2 if it changes the pattern to a or b. Though I think most of the time they use the same numbers.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Some of the patterns GM has used on the 4L60E that come to mind.

    Normal
    Tow/Haul
    HOT (Transmission Overheating)
    Cruise (Cruise Control Enabled)
    Economy (MPG)

"Trans Shift Mode" in the VCM scanner should tell you this.
For me D is Normal, Tow/Haul is Pattern A, and M is TUTD.

Pull that up in the scanner and start pushing buttons and see what happens. I have not found that traction control or stabilitrac changes the pattern.
