Tuner
04 Z06, V3 Super Charger, 60lb Dekas.....105kpa VE table...huh?
I am getting very comfortable tuning NA stuff and boost makes sense to me so I want to learn to tune it. As it were, I have a pal that bought a Vette with a Vortec V3 supercharger, supposedly tuned but, won't pass emissions and is getting misfires, think it's lean as heck.
Haven't had a chance to log it yet because I am scared it's jacked up and don't want to blow it up on someone else's tune while it's in my possession.
Stats:
- 2004 Z06 w/LS6 motor
- Deka 60lb injectors
- Vortec V3 supercharger with a 3.8 wheel
- K-Bell Boost A Pump
- Magnaflow longtubes, full exhaust, w cats
- Guessing it's stock 1bar MAP sensor (considering VE only goes to 105kpa still, and it's hard as shiyat to get at to pull and look at.)
I am curious how this tuner attempted to fake his way into tuning this supercharged application on a stock n/a VE table, and I assume stock MAP sensor too.
Can someone crack this tune open and help me understand how they tried to fake this forced induction tune on a stock VE table, implications of said method, and how I can go about doing it correctly?
My gut is to go buy a 2 bar MAP and start from scratch.........
Thanks much y'all,
John

You can do a 2 bar SD tune or do a scaled MAF tune
