New USB cable

I need to purchase a new USB cable for my VCM interface. Im in the I.T. field and I understand the whole USB cable length issue. Is there a recommended length that you (HP Tuners) suggest? Or can I go out to 5 meters? Not saying I need it THAT long or anything.

Any cable under 5 Meters (16.4ft) will work.

I use a a 1ft USB A to B cable and then a 3ft USB A to A extension cable along with a hub and it all works great.

I know the 5 meter rule. Didn't know if the guys at HP Tuners would have an issue with the cable being that long. I don't need it that long. I'm not tuning from the trunk. Lol.

I personally use a 6' usb that I bought for about a buck 10 or so years ago and haven't had any issues, its plenty long for me.
