    Locked out ecm

    Can anyone help me. I have a 1999 c5 I did longtube headers and off road x pipe and a 150 shot nos. and went to dyno tune it and the computer was locked out from hp tuner by someone years ago. I also took it to chevy for a stock flash and they could not get it to do it. Has anyone had this issue and been able to fix it without buying a ECU?

    Sounds like it's a door stop. I have heard of people burning the flash on the 0411 but wouldn't even know where to point you.

    I took it to my tuner yesterday and he tried everything he could but no luck so I'm getting a used ECU

    In 1999 I think you can pull the memory chip and flash it back to stock. The only thing I can think of is some program messed with the VIN and/or PCM info to lock it. I have a big box of old PCMs. if you have a part number. I don't have tech II access any more..
