Thread: 2015 TVS "Transfer Case Tq. Limit"

2015 TVS "Transfer Case Tq. Limit"

Working on my buddy's 2015 2.3 TVS with a PMAS, Whipple twin 68mm TB, 72mm pulley, Sai Li return system and E70ish. At the track we kept getting "Transfer Case Torque Limit". Now, obviously, this isn't in the torque switches, and it was limiting timing. Car went 10.72@133 on street tires, but couldn't ever get the timing out of it that I wanted.

He recently switch to 3.31 gears from the stock 3.73, which searching on here has told me could lead to the problem. But my editor only showed "calibration" and "BCM" for the options on gear ratio. I will post the log. If anyone has any ideas on where to start.

Additionally, gear adjustments should be done using the Scanner Special Functions for 2015+.

Did you change gearing and tire size using the editor or scanner? If yes, try put all that back to stock values, I once tried to change tire diameter values, and got the same issue, eventually put it back to stock and problem went away, although my speedo is a little off due to a different tire size

I put all of that stuff back to stock. It is taking from the BCM for the gearing change. I will double check it when I get back to my laptop and his car.

I've looked in a few 15 GT mustang tunes that I have and unless I'm blind, which is possible, I haven't been able to locate the transfer case torque limit switch anywhere? Anyone have a picture showing where this is located?

I think it's this one labeled "gear box limit".

OK, so it is the one labeled gear box limit and not transfer case limit Thank You...
