End of injection timing, plz help

    1998 camaro ls1 with 243 heads
    I have a btr stage 3 ls1 cam 231/242 @.050

    int. 5 btdc 45 abdc
    exh. 55 bbdc 7 atdc
    Lobe sep 112

I found a few spreadsheets, but my Excel is expired

Is anyone kind enough to do the math for the values i should input into my injector timing tables?
    Thanks in advanced

Maybe I'm not understanding exactly what your looking for, but your injector values are based only on the fuel injector you have not the camshaft.

Any changes due to the camshaft will be in the airflow, i.e. VE tables, MAF, Base Running Airflow, etc. Would need a Wideband input to change these values correctly.

Start by adding to or taking away from boundary - this is actually better than the spreadsheets anyway - just look for what makes your fuel trims go the most (-)

Are you talking about *[ECM] 13342 - Normal Injection Target vs. ECT: The end of injection target measured in reference periods after the injection boundary that the normal injection pulse should finish.* ?

I'll have to open up a Gen 3 tune when I get back to the house, but it should be called boundary. Should be 1 number, something like 6.5 or 7.22 if memory serves. Also make sure to use the scanner to hold idle around 1200rpms. This will take the egr affect mostly out of the equation.

Double checked - it's called boundary - first one under injection timing tab

Hopefully the pic works, ya I was talkin about ECM 3120, ECM 13342, and ECM1 3343 PIDS.

I watched the calibrated success DVD and I think he adjusted the "normal" table for injection timing. So GHuggins, should i set everything back to stock and only play with the "boundary"?
If so, by how much? Stock is 7.22 and 8.00 is max
    Thanks by the way

They're all going to change soi, but boundary is the one the defines eoi... Increasing above 7.22 will retard it more - 7.5 or .6 might be as high as I would go - you might find it being advanced is better for your application, so 6.something might work better for you... Then you might even find if the cam isn't aggressive enough that something really close to stock if not stock works better... Never can tell...

Ok I will hold idle at 1200 rpm and adjust tables till I get the richest A/F reading on my wideband (within reason)

I just changed my normal and make up by +.53 I left the boundary stock at 6.50

This file is not to be used, but only for demonstration purposes.

The only thing correct in this file is the end of injection timing *Normal & Make up*

I use this setting in my LQ4 & LM7 with GM LS HOT CAM.. If you would like an idle tune for this let me know or see youtube for tuning idle for mild to large camshafts.
