Thread: Rev Limiter switch to Spark cut?

Rev Limiter switch to Spark cut?

How can I get the rev limiter to use spark cut instead of ETC or Fuel? Messed with the spark ratio and fuel cut ratio some and no luck. Set N rpm limit time 4k hits it and uses furk cut

Go to spark limit rpm x load . Change the last row to your expected limit rpm . Change the column to -20

    Like cylinder pressure limit table?

Most Ford ECUs I've seen do not support just cutting ignition.
The only time I see them actually cut ignition is when they've cut fuel.

By default the ECU doesn't support this operation essentially.

Yes cylinder pressure limit is a spark control . Mine is up to 8000 and then 8001 is -20Attachment 74900

That is not an ignition cut. That is just massive spark retard. Its still firing the spark.

I read something about setting torque hst. To 0 under the fuel cut section and it gives a fuel cut instead of a throttle closure. I never have gotten around to seeing what exactly it does.
