All cel codes turned off for evap, occasionally i get a tighten gas cap message on the cluster a few minutes after start up

Anyone know why or how to get rid of this

Some of those might be a cluster/BCM function that HP Tuners will not be able to turn off.

Make sure codes like P0445 to P0449 are disabled or may try the NO MIL option. Otherise make sure the evap vent lines are clean, the filter/open line that runs up and over the transmission will get caked with dust. Most of the parts are cheap to replace anyway as you don't need the whole thing. Rubber hose can be used with hose clamps where you snip the factory hard plastic lines.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

It is best to find the leak and fix it as 5FDP wrote. If there is a large leak at the cap or one of the evap lines it will affect fuel mix when the evap purge valve opens. If you are going to just turn off the codes you should probably cap the purge valve on top of the intake manifold.

Curious though. Did you just uncheck the SES box for evap codes or did you actually change them to "No Error Reported" on the right? It seems to me like just unchecking the SES light might still allow the PCM to tell the BCM about the issue, while telling the PCM to ignore the issue...nothing to report...maybe.

I couldn't tell you exactly where the message comes from but I know for a fact HP Tuners can't change anything cluster or BCM related on those vehicles. If you know someone with a dealership level scan tool you could look with that to see if the message can be changed.
