Speedo signal from abs wheel speed sensor ?

Hey guys. Throwing a glide into a 5th gen im putting together for a customer. While trying to figure out a simple way to get a speedo signal i talked to rpm transmissions. They told me " no wiring requiried, there is a way to pick up the ABS wheel speed sensor in the tune for a speedo signal" anyone familiar with this ?

I had to make a CAN module for a guy who did a TH400 swap in a CTS-V. I read both rear wheel speed sensors and converted that to a square wave output that he wired to the ECM. I don't think there's any other way. If it's already a manual though, the dash should still report speed just fine (it'll use the wheel speed sensors).

I did it on a 98 Z28 that got a Turbo 350. Just connected the VSS wires to the front wheel speed sensor. Here is the write up on how to do the programming for it in a 4th gen f-body.

Awesome thanks guys i figured it out, about the time i looked at the tune. Trans/speedo settings have an option for VSS and if you select "not fitted" it will pull from the wheel speed sensor. Thank you guys for your input !
