MDS Disable - Also Disable MDS Test?

Getting many reports that even with MDS set to disabled in the tune, the vehicle will still run a self diagnostic test at start up that without the harness still connected to the 4 solenoids it will fail the test and default to running fuel and spark to only 4 cylinders. This is NOT a good way to try to break in a motor and not something I want to have to deal with breaking in my new shortblock.

Can anyone confirm this fact? If it is true, what are most people doing just leaving the stock solenoids in place instead of running the block offs and having harnesses and solenoids hanging everywhere?

This is a for a 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8. Installing a hellcat bare block with forged internals.

I guess its looking for some information not available because of the disconnect.
So much simpler to leave the harness alone and disable it in the tune.
