Whipple on 2010 GT500, use their tune, or build my own?

Installing a Whipple kit on my 2010 GT500 in a few days, been reading the other F150 Whipple thread, wondering if I should use the Whipple tune that comes with the kit, or start from factory (Ford) tune, & go from there?

If HPTuners will read the Whipple tune, that would be ideal, so if their tune needs tweaking, I could simply change a few things & go, but some say HPTuners won't even read the tune, some say they can read it no problem, anyone have any input?

You won't have any problems reading it or using it unless something has changed. If you can't read it for any reason, just email support - I'm sure they can get it to open for you... Whipple did some special things to make them drivable on the GT500's without going into limp mode... I've got a stock whipple tune for you for a 2007 if you need it for any reason... They run stock timing tables for them, but you should be able to add a touch more in and make another 30 or 40 hp if you have a catless header setup or anything like that...
    2010 Vette Stock Bottom LS3 - LS2 APS Twin Turbo Kit, Trick Flow Heads and Custom Cam - 12psi - 714rwhp and 820rwtq / 100hp Nitrous Shot starting at 3000 rpms - 948rwhp and 1044rwtq still on 93
    2011 Vette Cam Only Internal Mod in stock LS3 -- YSI @ 18psi - 811rwhp on 93 / 926rwhp on E60 & 1008rwhp with a 50 shot of nitrous all through a 6L80

    Ok, thanks for the advice!
I have the Whipple kit sitting here, as soon as I get a chance, I'm gonna install, been upgrading our dynos lately, now that that's about done, I'll slap it on, see what it makes after a tune. Made 460rwhp all stock yesterday. Right now exhaust is stock, gonna leave it that way to start with, this car is a vert, not wanting to race, just a little more power.
