I got my ve pretty dialed, go to maf tune and i get misfire code. Cylinder 4 misfire. It didnt start right away but it got worse fast. Then my oil pressure dropped. Am i doing something wrong? I changed back to my sd tune and it runs fine w no dtcs?

Can you feel the misfire or is it just showing up in the log? How much did the OP drop?

I cant really feel it? It definitely doesnt run as good as just sd but i was just getting started. I got the maf pretty close to within 5 but then the light started flashing, went off so i kept going but then it started blinking again and kept coming on so i came home? When i pulled in tge driveway my check guages light came on and my op was just low enough to kick the gauge light on? It didnt get hot or anything? And i checked oil???

I put the other tune back in and everything seems fine? Oil pressure doesnt drop and no misfires, idk if they just arent detected or if they arent happening?

I would check over your plug wires and plugs, if they look good and you definitely can't feel it, I would reduce the sensitivity to misfires for your cruise region. I had some misfire issues from my cam that were definitely false reports, once the counts get so high it flashes the MIL.

None of this should affect the oil pressure though. How many miles are on the engine? Do you have a mechanical gauge you can check it with?

It looks like you're making progress. You should log knock retard btw.

I would smooth your VE table, its kinda rough. Also whatever you change in your MAF you should kinda extrapolate out, so there isn't a big spike above where you tuned to, if that makes sense?

How low did the oil pressure get?

It dropped down to the 20.....i have issues bc i made the changes, i smoothed my ve tables and maf and it wont start w that tune. Dirty or bad maf sensor maybe? I have a shitty off brand cold air intake that the previous owner put on?

Okay, 20 psi isn't bad. Just monitor it.

So you're still on just the maf? Definitely ditch that cold air. Find a factory setup from a junk yard or something. Get a maf cleaning spray and try that. To confirm the issue, switch it back to SD.

It runs really good in sd. I cant even get it to stay running on maf anymore? Either i have something way off in my tune or my maf is junk?

I would try cleaning it before getting a new one.

What method are you using for tuning?

    Just using short term trims?

It seems that anytime you accelerate it's lean, as the short term trims having to add in over 10-15% but it's okay at cruising speeds. Also the longer you data log the better, minimum 15-20min logs for proper data and it might better to try using the STFT + LTFT method if you do not use a wideband.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Okay i will restart using ltft and stft. Im getting a bunch of knock retard now? Im going to get plugs wires cap and rotor. To be safe. I copied my high octane over my low octane, could that be why? Or bad gas?

How much KR are we talking? And what are you running for gas?

I run about that much advance, maybe a little more, but my engine is quite a bit different.

Well i was on my way to work and kind of in a hurry so i stopped at a little convience store. I got premium but ive heard from others that they have bad gas. I question tho bc i dont if ive been logging correctly for kr until u told me to and its been doing it all along or if it just started. So i get about 10 miles away and i look over and see red on my scanner. 4 on the kr. I was on my way to work, it wouldnt show up when i would accelerate but when i was in overdrive and hit a incline i would get 1 or 2 kr. I think the highest it went was 8 but i babied it as soon as i noticed i was getting it. If i let my foot off the pedal it went away??

Also what wideband would u recommend....budget friendly. I have headers and a nice little parts list on the way. Im kinda tripping that i have other issues im gonna have to address before i can start building more power??

1-2 and a few spikes of 4 isn't terrible, but 8 isn't good. I would decrease timing some in areas that hit 8. The kr will decrease to nothing if the sensors don't pick up anything new up, so if you let off the throttle and load decreases, it should go away.

I run a plx wideband, no complaints with it. I believe it was around $150. Do you have the hp tuners mpvi pro?
