    AFR off

Why is it of buy 1
My lC-l reads (AFR11 log works) and my hpt is AFR12.
I flat lined lc1 at 3v and 5v,HPT raw pid reads the same
also my Dmm reads the same.

    LC1 is programed at 10 to 18afr
    Response speed is at 1/6

what equation are you using fir your HP Tuners EIO Slot

10~18 should be a custom PID
    volts/ 0.625 + 10

    Used same one from Demo
10~18 should be a custom PID

    your equation is not right..
your volts need to be 0~5 not 0.624

so thats probably where you are getting your offset...
for you setup as it sits you would need
    volts/ 0.547 + 10

    Scott,

If he has a range of 8 and a voltage range of 5, why wouldn't it be 5/8 = .625. So then it would be volts/.625 + 10.xx(offset)?

if you look at his picture in that doc file its 0.624~5.000
so thats a range of 4.376
    4.376 volts/8 AFR = 0.547

    VOLTS/(Volts range/AFR range) + Ofset AFR

I think he put .624(.625) in there instead of 0 because he was getting the programming confused with the equation denomenator.

It should be 0-5 volts and 10-18 AFR, then in HPT the equation is volt/.625 +10.xx.

ok...I dont know if you understand...

    IN HIS LC1
the value for 10 AFR is 0.624
the value for 18 AFR is 5.000

this is why his equation needs to be what it is

if he had set his LC1 to be 10 AFR = 0 volts and 18AFR = 5volts then his equation would be volts/ 0.625 +10(+offset)

I agree with what you wrote. My point was, why does he have the bottom range set to .624 instead of 0?

SE, I agree with your formulas, but how is this user coming up with the .624 numer in the first place?

My LC-1 puts in random numbers suddenly, Maybe that´s what happend?

BTW fellows take a lot at this, Is it correct? It´s seems to work fine, Just wants to be sure. Lambda 1 is 9.8 on E85 (doesn´t really matter but it is easier to see the correct AF that way) and i want to setup HPTuners for it to.

That should work, because 5 volt range divided by 6 (range of AFR) is equal to .833333. Then you add you offset, which I suppose is reasonable.

no that wont work correctly that way...

lambada 1.0 = 9.8 that is correct..but yoru multiplier is set to be 14.7....
so set it up as 14.7 as teh crossing point...its really just lambada 1.0 with a mutiplier of 14.7...

then you need to make a custom EIO for lambada...not afr...
    volts/9.19 + 0.68
the example below is one I made for what the the afr said would be 10-18 for gas... but it works perfect

then you wil have to set up a custom AFR using [sens.119]*9.8

and a custom commanded AFR if you want to see it that way.
you can set the commanded stoich value to 9.8 if you want....in f-bodies its only used to calculate teh commanded AFR from the EQ ratio...

otherwise just leave everything set to 14.7 everywhere and just set up yoru custom AFR so you can see what it actually is

the reason it works this way is cause lambada 1.0 is still lambada 1.0 no matter what...if its e85 or gas or jet fuel...
the wideband reads lambada and reports lambada*multiplier

    Alright my brain hurts
Runn ws7's lm-1 + pid looks right to me?
his crossing point is lambda 1.0.

Why so complicated? and what multiplier is set to 14.7?

    My setup works...

When the car is in lambda the lc-1 in hptuners reports 9.8 and commanded af is the same.

No offence or anything but can you please stop writing lambada instead of lambda... I seen you write it before and everytime i think about correcting you...
