E78 and E83 lock ?

I have some question about tune lock option,

* if the tune is locked, is that lock the ecu reading and even GM service update by sps ?

* is that possible to read by any other tool can read binary ? (KessV2 etc? )

* how can I lock and unlock the tune ?

typically speaking a tunerlocked ecm cannot be read, nor written to.

when you lock it hpt forces you to select a password. anyone who knows the password on the ecu can then unlock it again via hpt.

I need to use lock my tune for some testers , to avoid they bring the car to another tuner for copy my tune.
