Getting these to complete seems to be a common problem so I'm now battling with drive cycles...Just wanted to make sure; does the VCM Scanner connection and/or the diags (Read DTCs) reset them or reset the ECM?

no connecting and reading with scanner will not reset readiness monitors but clearing codes or writing an new tune will reset them
