Probably not tuning it in speed density but that's a guess.

    Post the tune.

Please don't take this wrong, but what info did you follow in proceeding with VE (Speed Density)? Sometimes, as a teacher, I like to know why certain processes are ventured into...helps with my material.

5FDP hit the nail right on the head...you have to first set the High Frequency Fail High to 1 hz...this says if the MAF frequency goes any higher than 1 hz it will fail. And then to get it to fail immediately, set DTC P0101-P0103 to "Mil on first error".

    hope ethis helps.

    Hallo Ed

    Thanks for the help.

Im a bit new to the HP tuner world.

The reason why i thought it runs on the VE table is a lot of other cars i have made is using the VE table to fuel mapping.

But if its not using the VE table for the fuel mapping. Then what is it using for fuel mapping?

    Thanks Jonas.

Both, it's using the MAF and Primary VE.

Factory it will use the MAF/VE to like 4,000 and then filtered MAF above that.

Though with that current tune file it's asking it to only use the MAF above 400rpm, so any changes you make to the VE are not going to show up.

    Hallo 5FDP.

It is using soooooo much fuel. So my client is not so happy about it.
If i want to map it perfektley. Then I have to do like Ed explained??????

Ore is there a better solution you think?

The car has compressor kit mounted. But the mapping is BAD.

    Thanks Jonas.

Oh so you're saying this is a supercharged application too.

This kinda throws it off here now. Ideally you'd want to return to the stock calibration and then try to upgrade to a 2 bar Operating System so you could tune "map" the VE for boost. You are currently kinda stuck if you can't tune the VE with the 1 bar speed density OS that it is running. This would explain why the MAF is the only thing controlling the fueling here.

If you were able to go to a 2 bar OS then install a 2 bar MAP sensor you would be able to do what Ed said. Tuning the vehicle would be easier if you could "map" the VE for boost.

hopefully you have the oem file saved somewhere.
if you dont then your going to have to have it reset probably by a dealership.

you can only change OS upgrades from the base oem file so once its upgraded all you can do is perform a write entire back to the oem file. This is what you need to do.
if you dont do this then you cant switch to the High Bar OS upgrade which has the boost enrichment feature. The current file isnt setup for boost and therefore has no boost specific tables.
continuing to drive or tune with any boost on the current file will cause the motor to eventually blow up. the quicker you can convert to the proper file the better; for engine safety sake.

    Hallo :-)

I had that thought on my minde. :-(

My client bought the car with supercharger. Like it is now. Has been running fore some years with it.
So I dont have the oem file. But i have the tech2. And GM login.
So i can make a oem file with that.
    And then moove forward.

Do you know how to setup the 2 bar map sensor??

If you can get us part numbers for the sensor we likely have the data floating around here in the forum, just let us know what it is.
