Oil temp sensor??

i was wondering, since VCM scanner and the torque pro app for my phone can both see oil tempeature, where is this info comming from? I have a 2009 5.3. Is the oil pressure sender also a temp sensor, or is there a seperate sensor that im forgetting.

log actual sensor and also calculated sensor and see which one reads, i have actual sensor and it populates both readings (calculation reads a little higher then actual) i think the actual temp is a part of the oil level sensor in the sump if u have one

ive got a reading, and it seems accurate, but it does not have oil level sensor. so how does it know the temp? Ive got water temp on front driver head, cam sensor in timing cover, crank sensor above starter, knock sensors above pan rails, oil pressure at back of intake, and a plug for the DOD, but disabled and not hooked up.

its prob just a calculation from other sensors sorta line IVT and ITT there are many that are calculations
