    HPTuners not displaying ethanol %?

I recently pinned the #40 pin on my E38 ECM to add flex fuel, but HPTuners isn't displaying any ethanol content in the scans. Right now I still have 93 in the car, but I also installed Innovate Motorsports ethanol gauge and it's reading between 9.4-9.7%. I would think HPTuner could read all the way down to zero. Can it not?

Wrong channel being logged? Remove Ethanol content and replace it with Alcohol content.

You'll likely need to enable the Flex Fuel feature in the tune as well if you want to use it to control anything timing and fuel related. It's currently set to disabled.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Sorry I had uploaded an earlier tune. I have the flex fuel sensor enabled in the fuel system. My sensor diagnostics delay is set to 60 seconds still though.

I'm looking in the channels to add alcohol composition, but all I can find is ethanol composition and fuel composition sensor. I can see alcohol in the charts layout, but can't add it in the channels.

Coulda swore you could type in alcohol content and it would bring it up. I'm not connected to my truck to confirm. Maybe it is just Ethanol Fuel %. Would be worth a shot to remove the channel, re-poll and then add it back in.

Mine are under fuel system/composition/ I have both ethanol fuel % and alcohol %.. they both read about the same. If I remember right I had a hard time getting them to work when I first put my sensor on. I think I had to re-poll to get them both to work.

Try reading alcohol percent if you have that PID. Like I said when I first put mine on only one or the other would read. Now they both work and I don't know at what point they started working.

The tune you uploaded has it disabled in both places. Double check these.

engine, fuel, open and closed loop, enable flex fuel. (virtual sensor worked for our DSX flex fuel kit.)

The signal is straight from a GM flex fuel sensor.
