gear ratio/tire circumference is stored in the BCM, not in the PCM or TCM

if you have a Tazer it will let you change tire size but you are opening a can of worms going that route

depending on your application hpt can change what is stored in the bcm

try to use the special functions option in scanner

oh yeah, forgot to mention... if you use scanner (special functions option) to change the ratio or the tire size on a vehicle that is equipped with ACC, the cruise control will then be disabled

    ACC and CC both

and doing so will illuminate lamps on your dash

not CEL but FWC ACC etc

Thanks for the insight. I will look in the special functions menu. Didn’t think it would be in the scanner.
I’ve also been wanting to find out how to see which shift schedule it is using. Seen people saying you can monitor it in the scanner?
I’m trying to load my scan so you can see where it goes into limp mode and maybe put me in the right direction. Hopefully it has attached.

    Thanks

I updated the MVPI3 to my Jeep through Bluetooth and the TDN app using my android phone. It worked very well and now have the special functions in the scanner. I change the gear ratio from 3.09 to 3.7 and the tire size from 27.1 to 30.5.
Now the ABS light is on and I cannot reset it. The service ABS pops up in the screen when I first start it also. It drives fine and seems as if nothing else is affected.
Any idea why the ABS is now throwing an error and how to fix it? I think I will try and change it back to see if it removes the error.
    Thanks in advance.

I figured it out. In the special functions there is an option for the ABS system. Looks like after a gear and tire diameter change, it changes something in the ABS system and it needs to be reset. Went through the menu's and it reset the ABS system. warning light went off and all is good now. Thought I would share in case anyone else can find this helpful.
