    cylinder/engine volume in tune.

In a stock 05 gto tune, it has the cylinder volume as 0.70819. Times 8..that's 5.66 liters, when the engine is a 6.0. Why does gm do that? I know that effects air mass, which effects other aspects of the tune. In my tune the volume is .73999..so times 8 is 5.91 liters. It was already like that when I bought it, and I've left it that way. If I changed it back to stock, would I have to retune it, and would it even be worth doing?

.70819 is correct from the factory. If it is .73999 and it is running good, I would not change it and retune unless you just want to.

I am new to tuning but am currently in process of gathering all information to flash my 1st and am thinking obviously it is best to flash with correct cylinder airmass right? I mean if the car is 6.0 but only programs 5.7 shouldn't I adjust this to reflect proper displacement while logging for initial ve table adjustment?

The cylinder volume isn't used in gen 4 and newer computers.
