    Newbie ECM question

First, I hope this is the right place for this. I recently bought HPTuners and just wanted a confirmation before making a big mistake. I was just wondering if I can take a computer from one vehicle and load a tune on it to use on another vehicle. Example: take one from a 99 S10 and load a tune on it from an 01 Tahoe and use on the Tahoe. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance! And any other info for a beginner would be appreciated! Thanks again!

you can, HOWEVER, you not only risk frying the ecm in doing so you also put yourself at risk of using multiple credits ie 6 or more just to do this. Therefore its not what we recommend.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

A 99 S10 (old vortec computer) and a 2001 Tahoe ( P01 computer) use different computers as well, so that particular idea wouldn't work anyways.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
