EET from Purdue working as a Systems Test Engineer for Delphi Automotive Systems. I worked on safety equipment for 2 years and 2 years now in Audio. I basically work with GMLAN, ClassII and MSCAN (ford) every day so you can say I'm familiar with the data bus.

Hope to be moving to powertrain here sometime in the future...

I run my own little Computer Networking business and maintain the networks of several small to medium businesses in the area. I went to school to be an automotive tech and decided that I hated having grease under my fingernails (from someone elses car) all of the time. I like working on my own stuff and after I finished building my first EFI car with a bunch of good stuff and it still ran like shit, I decided that I better learn how to tune it to make all the good stuff go fast.

Back to a traveling Union Pipeliner, as a welder helper and moonlighting as a truck tuner on Sundays. Plenty of 6.0's and 8.1's on each job, too many Diesels to count.
Currently in Gap, PA moving to Newark, DE in 2 weeks for 3-4mo.

I work full time running the parts department for a local city garage during the day and I've been going to school at night since I graduated HS in '02, with the last two years focused on a Firefighting degree. Currently taking the eight week crash course for my EMT cert, which involves eight weeks of work, school, study, and maybe some sleep mixed in there somewhere.

Been messing with cars since I was a little kid, my mom blames that on my dad and my grandpa....lol. Once I get things settled with my future carreer descision a performance shop will follow. For now I'm just tuning friends, family, and my personal cars (and maybe a few at work too).

Damn you guys have some cool jobs! I've always dreamed about opening a speed shop or building a Top Fuel Funny car/Pro Stocker and I will pretty damn soon! I work for a major oil company BP AKA Amoco Oil Co, (93 Ultimate unleaded). Been there 17 years and I'm 38. We make gasoline and I've been a machinist supervisor for a little over 3 years now. Before I took this position I was a Rotating Equipment Specialist and a machinist before that and a mechanic right out of school. Now I oversee all of the equipment rebuilds, mainly 8,000 to 13,000 HP recirocating compressors but various turbo / rotating machinery also. We have a full machine shop and custom make most of our parts and equipment.

This is a really cool forum and I hope to keep learning from all the experts here!

By profession, I'm a registered Agricultural Engineer. I did'nt practice my profession, instead I seek a job in the Middle East got a chance to be an apprentice mechanic...specifically with GM vehicles. As time goes by, expanding my knowledge with GM products with all the available service informations plus attending most GM training courses I was appointed now as shop foreman in our largest service facility. Aside from being a shop foreman, I'm also handling the In-house training program, plus the latest one 'HP Tuning'. There are hundred details more that I can point out about myself but don't want to take much of your time reading my PI. Many thanks to all the member of this thread...this is Eduardo, signing off!

I'm no shop Foreman, but I do work on "over-the-road" trucks... Internationals mostly. I'm starting to do a little tunning on the side, but that is just to support my hobbies.
