Did the file come from the vehicle you're trying to write to?
If it did, you'll likely need to open a support ticket to get this resolved.
We got this guy Not Sure, ...
Re read and select which modules to read. De select the fuel pump module.
The default should be to open the window that let's you select which modules to read, then this happening is less likely.
yes the customer just dropped the car off. I read the file from the car then I proceeded to save the stock file and license the vehicle(which I thought I did successfully) then made changes to the tune, saved those changes with new file name and tried to write the tune to the vehicle and that's when it gave me the message "unlicensed vehicle".
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Did you get any resolution on this problem? My car just did the same to me. Uploaded, saved stock file, used 2 credits one for file and one for car. Tried to download same file today and it's asking to license the file, but it will let me make changes and save.
Just wondering if there is something I can do before starting a ticket?
I figured my issue out, I was downloading the fuel controller along with the ECU and I think it wanted a credit for that. The tip off was a read error when downloading.
Once I downloaded the ECU only all is well.
