Actually just did mine - they wake up nicely even on 87 You can tune the engine side easy enough, but I haven't had any luck getting into the transmission side yet...

You'll need to change all of the timing for the propane too. I'm actually considering that conversion down the road, but it takes a good tune just to make the stock power levels of gasoline. Fuel is a whole lot cheaper, but it burns more and then there's the condensation issues. Then if I do good I may upgrade to a chassis cab anyway and then go to air brakes and exhaust brake. Never the less, still thinking about it. Let me know how it goes. If I remember I'll post my tune changes so far for mine. You happen to be around yours to see what the transmission controller is? I'm not near mine at the moment and hpt support is asking.

Here's the stock tune and where mine's currently at... I'll finish it up maybe this weekend after I get all of the maintenance done to it... If you happen to check - let me know what transmission controller is in these things - currently a 2 hr drive from mine to check...

I can check the trans later tonight, your correct on propane if it was vapor injection, however im using Liquid propane injection we only lose about 5 percent mpg im seeing 10-12 mpg as well as power increase as it has a cooling effect to the engine going in as a liquid. I also prolong oil changes to 10k as its monofuel and 70 percent less carbon. Been using it for 10 years on over 600 workhorse/frightliners 6.0s, and get about 100-150 new every year.

i noticed your rpms at idle/rolling are pretty high, its going to want to walk on you sitting at a light, i normally set mine to about 650, i find it strange that they come set at 515 on my 2016-17s, big issue i had is when turning from a stop between the brake and powersteering the rpm would drop to 400 and stall in an intersection, i played with it for a while and found 650 is that sweet spot.

My truck is going to spend a lot of time sitting at stops idling with the AC or Heat going - it'll always be one or the other... If it were hauling over the road primarily then yes I would honestly leave the idle rpm alone altogether...

I meant the actual physical controller it's using It wouldn't communicate with any of the Allison controllers in the drop down when I tried... Maybe I'll be able to check this weekend when I'm back to it?
