    Track = Mode 2

I'll get a log of them while driving later.
    I can also confirm this.

The open and close percentage table rows and columns don't seem to match anything though.....Which one correlates to the RPM table and what does the other one reference?

The gear pid is off, 7th gear shows 11, 6th shows 10, etc

What do modes 4, 5, 6 go to? AFM active?

I'll need the tune and log to review your particular case. The "gear" lookup will still point to the correct row used at the time even though the number may not correspond to the actual gear in the vehicle. For example 0 could correspond to neutral, 1 to reverse, and there may be additional states. It sounds like 1st gear is actually 4 in the scanner.

Is there a table where we can look up the mapped gear for each instance? For example, maybe table 12838 would work.

My gear lookup starts at 1 in drive, 2 in reverse, 3 in N, and 4 is 1st gear. So 4-11 is gears 1-8 for me. My tables seem to line up with what the PIDs show.

Here's my log though of logging each mode for a few min. I drove it in auto and manual modes to see when the valves would open.

so auto and manual both have high gear as 11. maybe the M7 doesn't use 1-5

The latest beta build has all the relabel stuff in it. Thanks for adding better support for the exhaust valves. Got it tuned how I want now.

The SS has a bimodal setup as well and its not rpm related but rather just closed in tour mode and open all the time in sport/perf/track. I will be messing with this in the next few days to see what I can find.

That is not completely accurate. It may seem that way but it is a bit more complex if you actually look at the settings in the CCM.

You have to license the Chassis Control Module with HPTuners. It is two additional credits. Then you will be able to see the valve settings under the System tab.

I have them. I got them to disable AFM, not knowing I would need them to Tune the NPP.

    Thanks

    Hello Boys,

I am from Germany an would tune/modify my NPP exhaust. Can some one help me ?

    I Would

Steahl/ICE Mode= Flaps Closed as Factory but a bit more for Police controll :-)
Tour Mode= Flaps Closed as Factory ( not 100%)
Sport Mode = Flaps Full Open
Track Mode = Flaps Full Open

In Germany a other Tuners offers this :

    Exhaust Control:
    Tour = EU mode
Sport = US mode (at 50 km / h the flap is not closed)
Track = The flap is always offer.

    Is this also possible ?

So why don't you just go to the tuner in Germany?

Anything is possible with tuning the NPP. You can make it do whatever you want. You need to Datalog the NPP parameters to see what its doing and then license the BCM and make your changes.

Is there a part of HP training that covers Active exhaust tuning are how to set the exhaust valve to open continuously on a 2018+ ATS V ECU? I'm finding it hard to understand the tables and setting in ECU files.

Here's an easy method that will save you three licensing credits for the CCM on your 2018 ATS-V. There are three fuseboxes in that car. One is in the left side panel of the trunk. Remove the lid and you'll see both a relay and fuse for the Exhaust Valves. Remove either the relay or the fuse and your active exhaust valves will be open all the time, with no DTCs.

There is a thread on this forum that goes through the explanation. It's not too complicated so there really isn't much "training" on it. You need to find out what modes the car uses by data loging the PIDs for NPP so that you know what tables to use. Then 100 is open 100% and 0 is closed. They reference RPM tables that say open at this RPM and close at this RPM. If you simply want one of the modes to always have the valves open, then set everything in both the open and close tables to 100 for the table number that you see in the Datalog that refers to the driving mode you're in.

Hint: Track mode tables will have the most amount of "100" already in the tables. Set any that are not 100 to 100 and try it out.

Hello all, first post here. I'm one of Tapout/Scott's customers & long time enthusaist.

I asked Scott to help me tune in a "Stealth Start" option for my '17 ATS-V. With catless DPs and OEM catback, the 'V startup bark' is quite startling and as I park outside in an alley, I wanted to be a better neighbor. (As some may know, no matter what Mode the car is in, during startup, the exhaust valves will always be OPEN as the V's don't have the Stealth mode like Camaro).

I tried "1" for Mode 0: No changes, rumble start was active for all drive modes on startup (Tour & Snow would close as usual after 3 seconds)

Then "1" for Mode 1: Tour & Snow had valves remain CLOSED on startup, Sport & Track had valves OPEN.

Then my DIC flashed a low battery light, of course, so I aborted the flashes to test Modes 3 & 4. Will update later when I get a new battery installed, however I have already discovered what I'm looking for, which is Stealth Startup for both Tour & Snow mode.... Scott was also awesome to help me with the mode retention feature between startup cycles too.
