    Getting tcm and pcm to communicate LS3 crate and 6L80e

    I have an LS3 crate engine 495hp and brand new 6l80e. PSI wire harness and pcm. They said they could marry the tcm so I sent it to them and harness, pcm and tcm came back. No communication. Codes U0101 and P0602. OS information is as follows. Any help would be appreciated. Miata swap and it needs to go home! I'm guessing operating systems are incompatible. Can anyone lay out the steps for me to correct that?

    e38 ,GM gen4 V8 Vin 1GCRCPE01DZ328223
    SERIAL 86ABHBK22049EY20
    OS 12653674

    T43,GM,A6
    SERIAL DV1870Q461201912
    OS 2425909

    Is your CAN network terminated correctly? The E38 and T43 controllers talk via the GMLAN CANBUS network, and if you are missing a terminating resistor or any connection between the two modules, you will get a u0101.

    This happened to me after a cam swap when I thought the ABS module was plugged in correctly but the plug was not fully seated.

    I have been caught out with this also. I found out through a lot of time and phone calls around 2009 there was a change in TCM module. the pre change TCM couldn't be paired to the post change ECM. I had those codes also.

    it was a 2009 VE Maloo utility that was manual and the owner fitted a 2008 auto trans and TCM. they were sent away to be programmed but once back in the car all sorts of cool weird things happened. long story short check the OS compatibility especially if they're around 2008 or 2009.

    Did you end up selling the motor and ECM? I have a friend who just built a 87 monte carlo ss aero coupe.

    I am trying to help him get it dialed in cause it idles like shit and what not but whats funny to me is when I scanned it that vin number came up as what he has.

    He was told the motor is a 6.2L v8 L99 from a 2015 escalade with a 6l80.

    but on hpt scanner the ecm and tcm is the following;

    So I am trying to figure out if they put a 5.3 in his car or just used this ECM with a 6.2
