Having a half dozen tickets or more for the same thing won't necessarily help with this particular issue. We are looking into it further.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I received an email from support and they have acknowledged the issue. They said they should have a fix Monday hopefully.

Yeah our hardware designer is testing a new firmware update. Not sure if all the MPVI2's were affected by the issue or if I just got lucky with my pre launch hardware

I already emailed them Bill the moment you told me yours worked fine.

Subject: [#133162]: Blue tooth will not connect

Thank you for contacting support Bryan,
We are aware of this issue and are currently working to create the fix. I'm being told it should be sometime monday when it's completed.

New firmware version 2.0.79 published. it should fix the bluetooth issues that some of our customers were having (MPVI2 not showing up when pairing)
There are a few options for updating to the latest firmware:

    1) For any 4.0 or 4.1 VCM editor: Help->Resync Interface will trigger a firmware update

    2) If using beta 4.1.68 or later gathering info will also cause the firmware to update.

If you continue having issues with the newest firmware update email support please.

So that appears to work with the scanner. At this point is bluetooth only working with the scanner and not for the editor reading or writing?

You can read vehicles in VCM Editor, just not write.

ok so yes the Bluetooth is working on the scanner but I am unable to read a file out on the editor. Not a big deal but the editor is not recognizing the MPIV2

Any chance the mpvi2 will connect to a MacOS box so that I can relay the bluetooth stuff to vmware fusion with windows 10?

Aaaahhh shucks. How about a Mac version of HPTuners?

I'm mostly against wires, but when the pro version comes out and can log on it's own that'll be sweet. I guess I'll cope with plugging the mpvi2 into the laptop to pull the data.

Thanks for the hard work on these things.

Personally I've just been using the MPVI2 paired to our track addict software via BT for now.

I just got an MPVI2, and I did connect it to my win 10 laptop, but the editor will not read/write, it doesn't find it. It finds if if I plug it into the laptop with a USB cable just fine....Is bluetooth only for the monitor maybe?

As far as I'm aware, BT is only for scanning.

Writing must be done with physical cable.

Not sure I would trust wireless for a write process anyhow. I'm sure that was the motivator behind the method
