I just purchased a MPVI2 and am wondering what methods I could use to log AFR. I have an Innovate gauge with external outputs and am not sure how that would connect to the MPVI2. I have a GM vehicle

I don't believe the module meant for logging external data is available quite yet for MPVI2
MPVI 2 currently doesn't accept external inputs, you'd need to find some other means.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
A wise man once said "google it"
What vehicle? On many GM cars you can use either the AC Pressure circuit or the EGR input to log wideband
You can utilize the AEM 30-0334 WB and use the OBDII interface they provide on all 2008+ vehicles. Another option is to use a PLX or the above AEM WB and use the Serial Interface. This will require some rs232 to USB conversion using an off the shelf cable and some wiring to the WB to DB-9 mating connector.

Ed,
Not to hijack. But have you tried using the 30-0334? I had a chat with AEM support that say it may work with older vehicles but they don't have any success stories. Do you own one/have tried one?
And is the update rate with the serial option fast enough, or any more accurate than the analog method? (I've been trying to find a way around voltage offsets and getting better accuracy than logging analog via EGR)
I have the 0333 which the only difference between the two is the 0334 is also EFI Live compatible. And yes, I have heard that there is a possibility it may operate on some 2006/2007 platforms but not LS1 platforms. I haven't tried it on any pre 2008 though. Maybe some other users have and can chime in. Dr Mike has a way, but as of now it is not available.
The serial/OBDII interfaces are fast enough and accuracy is the same. As you said, there is no offset issues with these options.
Hope this helps.

It's a pass through dongle if I'm saying that right.
It has a OBD2 female and male end on the same unit, so the MPVI cable plugs directly into it.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
That's how I was envisioning it. I guess it's not compatible because it outputs a different protocol than the LS PCM's, and HPT can only listen to one or the other?
With the LS1, you can utilize the EGR or AC Pressure input at the PCM to connect an analog wideband output and manually develop transform math based on the widebands output values which you will find in the manual. Use our calculator to define the values and create a math parameter. We also posted a video on out You tube channel (ERM Performance Tuning) showing how to set up this math and Scanner Graph. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru_2M2uGSKs&t=46s

Kind of a slight pain, but been using my mpv1 pro as a datalogger and mpvi2 to write tunes

OK everybody, I had total success and here's what I did: I purchased the recommended AEM 30-0334 WB and MPVI2 and followed this tutorial https://youtu.be/ozJz-pNFCuo and can now log AFR on my laptop. I haven't tried doing it with Bluetooth connection yet but was already able to log without the cable before and expect that adding the AEM gauge will not change that.
The AEM X series WB will allow interfacing to a 2009 and up platform through the OBD II port. It may also work on some 2006-2008 platforms but that you will have to try.
The only methods available for 2008 or later platforms is either the EGR/AC Analog approach from above or I believe either the AEM or PLX will work through the serial interface introduced during 3.0 release.

As Bill@HPTuners said in post #3 "not available yet"
"proprietary Expander Hub ready for analog / digital / voltage sensor and device inputs."
I believe this is part of the PRO Feature Set to be announced..
Update*[ I stand corrected! Thank you mowton! Glad there is a way! ]
