2018 GMC Terrain 2.0 Auto Stop Start

Done a search and not coming up with any define answer on the 18 terrain autostop/start disable settings.

Is this something that HPT mapped into the ECM settings or is it UDF only?
A guy locally wired a resistor into his hood release switch and said this fixed his, and I know Range has one too,

Anyone dived into this with HPT?

I get requests for this on evey vehicle that comes into the shop gm or not. I’m curious if it would be considered emissions tampering, although it shouldn’t be and that’s why we’ve not seen much movement on it.
