    Some newbie questions

    Hi all,

Some newbie questions to run by you:

Car is a Z06 with cam/headers/intake/cold air. I understand the general concept of setting up a startup tune, then tuning the maf tables, then the ve tables, then finally idle tuning.

    1. When street tuning, where does spark advance tuning come into play and how can you reasonably find the best values for all the table values?

    2. When changing the intake manifold, do you need to adjust the manifold volume parameter?

    3. I've seen many recommendations to setting pe enable map from 15 to 85 and having one PE value across the board. Is this standard practice as it deviates quite a bit from the stock calibration.

    1. spark can be tricky and usually best on a dyno so u can see actual torque/hp improvements, but u can play a bit see if u can feel any improvements

    2. u may not have to but if u notice any fueling changes that involve transient movements then u can adjust it to see if it helps

3.stock is mostly trying to also meet emissions so it varies to suit, changing to 85kpa can work but u also need to factor in the TPS enable, most ways work just log it so u enter PE under the circumstances u want to, usually u can have it all the one setting so u can get the fueling right so ur not chasing a moving target then ones its dialed in u can adjust it to suit RPM if it helps
