There is absolutey an issue with this mechanism. I purchased 2 credits today and they will not reflect as available and active on the unit after doing a resync. I had to buy 2 credits for my MPVI1 to continue. This just shouldn't be that difficult to get working correctly.

Personally I think its an internet, firewall or some other issue.

I've just gotten finished testing using my mpvi2 on my wifes laptop and on a completely separate network and the resync worked fine, took about 20 seconds after I made the credit changes for it to work. Thus far I've spent countless hours testing it and have been unable to recreate the issues, our software designer has also tested multiple aspects of the system and was unable to find issue which leads me to believe its not an issue on our end. Sorry but we can only fix things in our power to fix, unfortunately this doesn't appear to be caused by us.

No offense Bill, but your system should be designed such that it works with all platforms that your customers might be using. This is why there are web standards for creating web pages, etc. across the various browsers and OS platforms. The old system worked pretty well but the users are finding problems with the new platform. The answer is not to brush it off as the user's problem.

Have you opened a support ticket about your particular issue Jeff? If so what is your ticket number?

    @Keith/Bill,

Here's another person having issues getting credits to sync. Would love to walk ANY tech/rep from HPT through it over the phone. Feel free to email/call me. My phone number is in the Company Name field of my Address in my Profile. Look me up using serial #2030112027.

    Details:
    7/8/2018 1:36:08 AM
VCM Suite Product: VCM Editor 4.0.5

Operating System: Windows 10 (build 17134)
Microsoft .NET: 4.0.30319.42000, 4.7.1 or later
CPU: AMD A8-6500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
    Available Memory: 10,938 MB

    HardwareVersion: 1.3.0
    ManufactureDate: 5/3/2018 2:17:04 PM
    PartNumber: 6230
    FirmwareVersion: 2.0.84

Firewall rule MANUALLY created to Allow HPT to do anything it wants on my network connection. - No Change

Internet access 100% online and functional seeing as how I'm on the forums

SpeedTest.Net test run just now reports:
    9ms Ping
    25.93 mbps Download Rate
    11.53 mbps Upload Rate

After pasting the above info log it ran accross my mind I may need an update. Updated to V. 4.0.12 - NO CHANGE

Issue is replicated on my Surface Pro 4.

Added Manual Firewall rule to the Surface Pro. No Change.

Because my Surface Pro is mobile, I took it to a friend's house to try it there. No Change.

Now we have an isolation. Two Computers, Two Networks, Two different VCM Editor Installations, ONE HPT MPVI2 that won't update........

Video screen capture of issue can be viewed at: https://youtu.be/bBPsjtLJkP4 (This video is unlisted on Youtube's site, it can only be accessed via that link)

Hopefully the video shows you the issue clearly so you can get it fixed.

You have this many users reporting issues getting the credits they've paid for and then you say it's not your issue? This is 100% most definitely an HPT issue.

I'm having the exact same problem as you. I just purchased 2 more credits thinking it was me. Well, I guess it was not just me.

After trying multiple computers, networks, firewall settings, countless restarts, closing and opening, resyncing, all of it EVERY SINGLE RECOMMENDATION FROM EVERYONE ON THESE FORUMs AND OTHERs THROUGHOUT THE INTERNET I CAN POSITIVELY SAY THAT YOU SIR ARE FULL OF HORSE HOCKEY. Firewalls, pssh full uninstall, complete disable of everything internal windows and mac, no luck.
Router firewalls disabled, tried with a VPN, changed APN's on mobile networks (remember I said we tried everything) nadda. Tried different versions of windows that your website says you support hahahaha no. Have updated, backdated, between different versions of VCM (Full suite and Beta) it laughs at me much as I laugh at you when you say it's not something on your end INCREDULOUSLY, you realize that you aren't dealing with your average rube here when you talk to the majority of us right?? Most of us are very intelligent and know how to follow different sets of instructions. So, IF you made it work please share with us the magic HP TUNER unscrewed dust you sprinkled on your computer before starting the process. Because I call you on your claims and I say they are crap. I have tried every combination of firewall, computer, operating system, and network type that I am aware is available and valid with your company's software. You have how many people complaining about this same issue and you have the audacity to sit there and in your omnipotent mind simply proclaim this is "our" problem and not anything to do with the servers?? Bet you know who shot Kennedy, the exact moment of the beginning of time and can calculate the square root of pi in your head as well huh?? How about next time you lead with "We're sorry we dropped the ball but we are working diligently to correct the problem and when corrected we will update and do what we can within reason to satisfy you." Vs. This "you bought it too bad it's broke but you're stuck with it" garbage??

Okay. It works now. I waited until 8:57 PM here where I'm from, and it worked.

That's some more good info, helps us narrow it down.

We'll look at a few places early this week to see if we can find the root cause.

    Thanks again.

Newton did you open a support ticket by any chance? if so what is your ticket number? I have a few things we could test out remotely.

Same here. All I did was turn on the same computer, opened up VCM editor, plugged in my MVPI2, hit resync, and bam!

  19. #19
Same issue I have been experiencing and I have tried it on different networks. Some times they come right away and some times it takes forever for the credits to show. I have to way roughly 8 hours and hit resync again for them to show.

anybody here have some time to connect via teamviewer that has already sent a ticket in? I have a few things I'd like to test out in real time. If so what is your ticket number so I can review your current status and get connected.
