Clutch position Sensor learn?

I'm setting up a clutch pedal stop and cant for some odd reason get the max learn in the scanner to do anything, not sure what i'm missing... Is there some how to or some condition that need to be met before you hit the button.. (ignition on, scanner logging, push clutch, hit button.. turn off ignition, wait a minute or so??)

I'm logging "clutch learn status" and no matter what it says passed, and the in / out learned position doesn't change.
