Flashing PCM/TCM while Tazer is installed - recipe for disaster?

I'm thinking about getting the double-bypass to mount my Tazer in the trunk and leave the OBD2 port open for scanning/editing.

Is this a recipe for disaster? Will flashing at the OBD2 port with the Tazer installed cause issues/bricking?

I've read guys running a Tazer with a Trinity without issues but most recommend unplugging the Tazer before writing a tune. Before I bought the HP, I did not know any better and had a Trinity and a Tazer running off a splitter on the front OBD port. Wrote tunes without removing the Tazer and fortunate had no issues. However, I recently installed a bypass and have my Tazer in the trunk but whenever I write a tune with the HP (no longer use the Trinity) I disconnect it just to be safe. On a side note, the problem with having the Tazer connected all the time is I notice my battery would drain after a couple of weeks with the car just sitting in the garage.
