    how to flash computer only

    how can I flash a vehicle without the car. A friend of mine wants to send me his ecm to load a stock file. Im not very handy with the search function. Can someone point me in the right direction

    I don't do it very often, I just make up a bench harness for the ECU on the fly... Need a battery, some terminals, a OBDII connector, and I use a toggle switch for ignition..

    Oh, and I add a resistor for the GM high speed canbus wiring when needed across 6 and 14..

    Might post up what the ECU is, you might get some more specific suggestions..
