The big problem with Toyota is we can't just say oh yeah we support the 3UR-FE engine for the Tundra so now that should work in every other Toyota with that engine unfortunately isn't true due to the way the OBD2 port is accessed. Same goes for the 1GR-FE and every other engine/model. Even if we support the Landcruiser 3UR-FE in the US that doesn't mean we can support the Landcruiser in the UAE or any other country, even with same engine. Its very frustrating, but we are working very hard to increase coverage across the popular models.
I found out about this the hard way a few years back. I purchased the TRD Supercharger kit to suit the Tacoma 1GR-FE engine and fitted it to my Hilux 1GR-FE engine here in Australia. All the mechanical components fitted ok but when I tried to reflash the Hilux ecu with the Tacoma software the ID calibration numbers didn't line up so it was impossible. To get around this I fitted a Tacoma ECU to the Hilux, calibration was successful and now with 125km travelled, has been reliable.

Not to hijack the thread but I figured I'd ask here, while technically not a Toyota is support for FRS/BRZ on the horizon? I know that would probably involve traveling down the Subaru line.
