08 G35 Timing control issue.

Trying to do a "flame tune" on a G35, using the same method that's been successful for me with multiple VHR powered cars, but I cannot get the timing to drop below -2 on decel. Minimum timing is set to -120, tip out tables set to -20, decel area of the octane tables are set to -10, but it will not go below -2. Is there something I'm missing, something specific to the HR cars that causes this? From what I've read, the HR cars are supposed to have more control over the timing because they're not VVEL, but it does not seem that way. Any info is greatly appreciated!!
