    Aem 30-0310

    Friend has an AEM 03-310 wideband that I will be using to tune his car. HPTuners has a default option for this wideband, the range is 8-18 AFR ( I tune using lambda) but according to AEM documentation the range is 8.5-18 AFR (.58-1.23 lambda), is the scaling for the default setting correct for this wideband?

    The scaling is :

    0.500v = 0.5800 Lambda 8.526AFR ( Using 14.7 = stoich )
    4.500v = 1.2285 Lambda 18.059AFR ( Using 14.7 = stoich )

    Thank you, but the question was more targeted to the accuracy of the default settings. I didn't have my laptop with me so I couldn't confirm. I just checked the formula and it is correct. Thanks again.

    (V/.42105263)+7.3125

    The lambda function is ( V * 0.162125 ) + 0.4989
    AFR function is ( V * 2.3832 ) + 7.3344

    So (V/.42105263)+7.3125 would be right for stoich=14.65. Which is the conversion that AEM uses for the display on the gauges. But, most people use 14.7

    Bottom line. if you want to get lambda from that conversion, divide by 14.65 not 14.7
