Torque bump on shift

Hey, looking for guidance on dealing with a noticeable seat of the pants torque bump (shock) that happens at the completion of the inertia phase of the shift on a locked up converter. Picture is a 1000 words. Interested in general discussion as opposed to 6R80 specifics. Have been browsing research papers for info but haven't come up with much so far.
