My TCM took a dump, and a new one is on the way. Is there a way to use HPTuners (once I license the truck) to flash and set the vin on the TCM? or am I stuck going to the stealer?

yes, Read with the bad tcm in. swap tcm, license the new one and do full flash. It doesn't care what the vin is.
