2017 ZL1 Manual Transmission Bog Issue on Stock Cars

Has anyone figured out how to tune out the bog issue yet?

I have read over and over how everyone has tried everything in other forums but have not heard any real answers from real tuners.

I was actually told by one tuner it doesn't exist and it is about driving habits. However plenty of people have logged it closing the throttle plate and pulling timing.

This bog happens at hard launches and low RPM acceleration at stop lights, pretty much anytime you take off in first from a stop.

Chevy has acknowledged this but has not planned to fix it, probably since it is protecting the drive train. Shouldn't be an issue on a ZL1.

Also, the issue is not resolved in the 2018s or the new ZL1 1LE. It has seriously upset the M6 owners.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts and suggestions. I don't want to modify anything unless it has proved to work. If no one has a solution I will not touch it so I keep my warranty.

    Thank you guys!

Last I heard, the fastest ZL1 with automatic transmission was in the 8.4x range in the quarter mile. Meanwhile, the fastest ZL1 with M6 transmssion was in the 10.xx range. Definitely seems like something is holding these cars back.

Pretty sure the A10 you're talking about is guitarmageddonzl1's and that thing was a built 10L90 and a twin turbo kit with a ton of supporting mods. Not sure anyone with an M6 has built one up to that level and seriously ran it at a track.

It's just the nature of the beast. M7 ZO6s are the same.
