Thread: Dual cp3 tuning with Y harness

  1. #21
Put a dual fueler controller on the truck and your problem will disappear. The 2003 ECMs aren't happy trying to controller both CP3 pumps by themselves.

Then why are you on here complaining that it doesn't work properly?

Rail pressure work flawlessly...but other table need some work because truck is smokey at 70% or more tps...fuel economy is not really good....the guy said to me smoke is needed to create heat to help spool the turbo...but it spool way better if im easy on throttle to avoid the smoke...

You need a different tuner. One that?s actually a professional, smoke isn?t what helps a turbo spool

A good clean tune your truck will run better and spool your turbo faster than a dirty smokey tune. Your tuner should not charge to fix this.

I know that...but he doesnt want to correct it....here is a answer i got after i sent a video the datalog that goes with it :

Marc, judging by the video and your logs, you simply are stabbing into the throttle too hard before boost comes up. It takes fuel to spool a bigger single turbo and it simply doesn't move enough air from 1500rpm to 2200rpm to handle all that fuel, once the engine rpm is higher, its pumping enough air through the exhaust to get it on boost and then it runs clean. We can pull some fuel away from 0-20psi but it will also make the truck less responsive when your really getting after it. A bigger turbo with a stick shift will always take a good driver to drive it clean. with an auto truck it never looses boost while it accelerates through the gears.

So when I mention to you to ditch the CP3 spliter harness, you said the rail pressure works flawlessly.

    Yet here we still are.

How about you post up the tune the logs you just posted are from.

So you'd rather keeping trying to do something that a 2003 ECM won't reliably do?
