Here?s where I struggle, searching an entire calibration file, only one table exists with the axis values on that map and it has no reference to IAT and the table cells aren?t anywhere close.

Being on my phone I got crossed up on what tables we were talking about Jim.

Table 7842 is a limiter table of sorts. It acts as a maximum allowable rail pressure table. It and table 7843, which is the multiplier to table 7844 work perfectly fine. The values in table 7842 are correct. But the unit of measure is wrong.

Tables 7844 & 7845 work exactly the same. Unit of measure is labelled wrong on table 7844 as well.

I'm using screen shots from the OP's low rail pressure log and tables values from a stock 2003 file.

At the point I am at in the log ECT is 183*F, IAT is 59*F and Fuel Rate is 17mm3.

Looking at the rail pressure IAT and ECT correction and multiplier tables.

it's pretty clear why the rail pressure is limited when the IAT's are colder.

Tables 7844 & 7845 aren't doing anything because his BARO pressure is 14.0 psi.

But with the MM3 and ECT value he's at on table 7842 multiplied by the IAT and ECT value he's at on table 7843 his rail pressure is being capped right where the ECM is telling things to be.

This issue with rail pressure being maxed out when colder isn't noticed on the 2004.5 and new trucks because table 7843 has a different ECT axis scaling and higher table values.

Like I have been saying from damn near the beginning. It doesn't help that the unit of measure that HPT shows tables 7844 & 7842 as being is wrong.

The change i did in the ECT and IAT map (picture i posted earlier) fixed the issue. I appreciate the help from you guys on here as well as a local friend and tuner to my area (CCS).
